So without further ado, let’s get to the bots themselves: The Robots:īoth Beta & Minotaur featured in the rebooted BattleBots’ Season 2 Minotaur features a drum-spinner weapon, which is so powerful it actually vibrates the robot around when at full speed! It also features a small blue light just behind the spinner, so you know when it’s turned on.īeta features a hammer, which fires extremely fast, and is also retractable, although sadly it wasn’t powerful enough to self-right the robot when I attempted it. (At the time of writing, they are still available on Hexbug’s website)Īlso, instead of arriving in a singular box, as shown on the website and in the American release, they instead arrived in two separate boxes, each with the robot, their controller, and a small instruction sheet. What’s unique about this is set, in particular, is that unlike other Brits who already own these, I didn’t have to go to eBay and pay an insane import fee Due to popular demand, Hexbug has released Beta & Minotaur in the UK for a limited time.
